Note: These steps only apply to TEMPUR-Ergo® ProSmart bases. Other base models do not have a Bluetooth soundbar.
- Open the Settings app on your mobile device and select Bluetooth
- Ensure Bluetooth is toggled on
- In the "Devices" section, select "Tempur ProSmart" followed by several digits
- If you have a Dual Base, there will be two options called "Tempur ProSmart" – to find which one is yours, the specific Bluetooth ID can be found on the bed tag, or on the soundbar itself located underneath the head of the base. On the bed tag or on the soundbar's label, look for "BT ID: ProSmart XXXXXX" – this is your soundbar's Bluetooth ID
- The soundbar will announce, "Bluetooth Connected"
- On your mobile device, play sound or music from any source including YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, or any app that plays nature sounds
- Open the Settings app on your Android device and navigate to the Bluetooth settings
- Ensure Bluetooth is toggled on
- In the "Available devices" section, select "Tempur ProSmart" followed by several digits, then select Pair
- If you have a Dual Base, there may be two options called "Tempur ProSmart" — to find which one is yours, the specific Bluetooth ID can be found on the tag or on the soundbar itself located underneath the head of the base
- The soundbar will announce, "Bluetooth Connected"
- On your mobile device, play sound or music from any source including YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, or any app that plays nature sounds
Music and sounds will be played differently, and will be experienced differently, depending on if your base is in Massage Mode or SoundScape™ mode. Here are the differences:
- In Massage mode, the massage motors and the soundbar act separately and are not synced. You will be able to set your massage motors to any frequency, pattern, or intensity, while the soundbar is playing audio separately
- In SoundScape™ mode, the massage motors are synced with the soundbar, so the massage will vibrate your bed while automatically keeping pace with the rhythm and bass line of the music or nature sounds that you are listening to
If you'd like to switch between Massage mode and SoundScape™ mode, refer to the section titled "How to switch between Massage mode and SoundScape™ mode."
Method 1 - Physical Remote
On the physical remote, locate the Massage/SoundScape™ Mode Button:
Press and hold the button for three seconds to switch between Massage mode and SoundScape™ mode. The soundbar on your base will announce, "Sound Mode" or "Massage Mode."
Method 2 - App Remote
In the Tempur® Sleeptracker-AI® app, go to the Remote tab, and locate this button:
Tap this button to turn on SoundScape™ mode. The icon will turn green and the soundbar will announce, "Sound Mode."
To switch back to Massage mode, tap the button again, and the icon will turn white. The soundbar will announce, "Massage Mode."
Method 3 - App Relax page
In the Sleeptracker-AI® app, select the Relax tab, then select Enable SoundScape™ mode. Tap on the toggle to turn on SoundScape™ mode. The soundbar on your base will announce, "Sound Mode." To turn off SoundScape™ mode, tap on the toggle again, and the soundbar on your base will announce, "Massage Mode."
If you have a Split Base (two bases side-by-side), you can sync the two soundbars.
To sync the two soundbars, you will have to sync the two bases, which will make the bases move together. To sync the two bases, you will need to use both of your physical remotes. First, unplug both bases from power. Wait 1 minute, then plug them back in. Next, press and hold the SYNC button on the back of both remotes simultaneously. The SYNC buttons will illuminate and start to flash. When the SYNC buttons stop flashing, release the SYNC buttons. The two bases should now be synced, and the two soundbars should be synced together as well.
If you want to un-sync, start by unplugging both bases from power. Wait 1 minute, then plug them back in. Next, on only one physical remote, press and hold the SYNC button on the back of the remote until the button light blinks, and then release the button. The two bases should now be un-synced, and the two soundbars should be un-synced as well.
