Breathing disturbances indicate reductions or pauses in breathing during sleep. Most people experience a few episodes during sleep, without negative effect on health. If you have any concerns, you should always talk to your doctor.
You can view each individual Breathing Disturbance, represented by the green dots below the blue Breath Rate line, in the Sleep tab in the Sleeptracker-AI® app. You are able to view the duration of each Breathing Disturbance by tapping on each green dot. Alternatively, you can hold your finger anywhere in the Breath Rate graph, glide it across the graph (left or right), and pause over a Breathing Disturbance event you’d like to view. Furthermore, after you tap and hold somewhere in the graph, you can move your finger off the Breath Rate graph entirely (while still holding) and still be able to pan left and right — this will make it easier to see the graph while you're panning across it.
Keep in mind, Breathing Disturbances do not correlate to the numbers on the y-axis, as the y-axis is the Breath Rate value for the breath rate line.
In the Breathing Disturbances summary, your Breathing Disturbances are categorized by "Few", "Moderate", and "High", which are relative to the population. A few episodes are natural, but if you have any concerns, you should talk to your doctor. The Breathing Disturbance summary is available for nights when you sleep at least 4 hours.
Breathing Disturbances are currently only viewable in the Sleeptracker-AI® app, not in the daily sleep report emails.
