⚠️ IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTICE: Sleeptracker® STS-20 Connectivity & End-of-Life Update
The STS-20 is a legacy product developed nearly a decade ago for Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB). While SSB discontinued this product line and ceased funding for its maintenance years ago, Fullpower Technologies has continued to provide best-effort support to keep existing loyal users online. However, due to global security changes, this hardware has now reached a definitive End-of-Life.
The global cybersecurity industry has retired "Entrust" security certificates, which served as the foundation for the STS-20’s connection protocol. To maintain service, a final security update was deployed in January 2026 to all STS-20 processors that were actively connected to the internet.
Is your device unable to connect?
If you are unable to complete the initial pairing setup or the “Adjust Wi-Fi Settings” flow, your processor likely falls into one of the following categories:
- Purchased from a third party seller: if you recently acquired a new or used processor from a third-party seller (i.e. eBay, Amazon), the unit was likely offline during the January 2026 update window. It cannot securely connect to modern servers and cannot be activated.
- Offline during the update: If your existing processor was unplugged or offline during January 2026, it did not receive the critical security patch.
- Processor was Factory-Reset: If you performed a factory-reset on your processor as a troubleshooting step, the reset wiped the security update and returned the device to a previous firmware state, which uses expired protocols.
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: DO NOT FACTORY-RESET ⚠️
If your processor successfully received the security update in Late-January 2026 and continues to function normally, we strongly discourage performing a factory reset on your STS-20 processor in the future. Doing so will permanently remove the January 2026 security patch. After a processor is factory-reset, it will be unable to re-establish a secure connection to our servers and will become permanently unusable.
Because this product is no longer supported by SSB, there is no manual way to push updates to any processors that lack the current security protocols. If you already have an account with past sleep history, you’ll still be able to log in to your account via the iOS or Android app, view your past sleep recordings, and export your sleep data from the user portal.
If you purchased your STS-20 system recently, we recommend contacting the seller immediately to request a return/refund, as this legacy hardware can no longer be activated.
