Yes, the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® works with iPads running iOS 13 or later and Android tablets running Android OS 9.0 or later.
The Tempur-Pedic
® Sleeptracker-AI
® app is available in the iTunes app store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android. You can find links to download the app at
sleeptracker.com/getapp.
After downloading the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app, simply launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions. The setup instructions will walk you through the process of setting up your smart bed, creating an account, and connecting to your home Wi-Fi.
The QR code is located both on the back of the Sleeptracker-AI® processor and on the back of the Quick Start Guide.
The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app will walk you through the correct setup procedure based on answers you provide about your bed type and size. At any time you can navigate to the “Connection Status” page by selecting the Status icon from the Home page and then tapping Status to confirm your Sleeptracker-AI® is setup correctly.
For pre-installed Sleeptracker-AI® smart beds:
There are sensors mounted on each side of the bed, so we recommend that you begin your sleep by laying on one side of the bed and assign that side in the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app.
For a self-installed Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI®:
Select side one and connect your sensor to the black input connector on the processor. Place the sensor under your mattress centered under your pillow where you spend most of your time sleeping.
If you have a pre-installed Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor, your bed comes with two sensors pre-installed. If you self-installed your Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI®, please ensure that you have two sensors plugged into the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® processor. Adding a second sleeper is easy. From the primary Sleeptracker-AI® account, select Menu > My Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor > Bed & Sleeper Setup > Add User to Your Sleeptracker. A Quick Add code will be generated which you can either write down or share via email or text message (iOS only).
The second sleeper should start by installing the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app on their phone or tablet. If the code was shared via email or text, select the link and follow the instructions to complete the second account creation. If the Quick Add code was written down, launch the app on the second sleeper’s phone, choose “I have a Quick Add Code”, enter the code, and then follow the instructions to complete the second account creation.
If the second sleeper already has created their own Sleeptracker-AI® account and is on the Home page, have the second sleeper go to Menu > Pair with a Monitor > Add yourself as a second sleeper, enter the code, and then follow the instructions to complete the second account creation.
General
The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® works with any standard innerspring, foam, memory foam or hybrid mattress. The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® has been tested and qualified with Tempur-Pedic®, Sealy®, and Stearns & Foster® mattresses.
Yes, you and your partner will each have unique Sleeptracker-AI® accounts that monitor and store sleep data. During the app setup, you will be asked to specify which side of the bed you sleep on, allowing the system to distinguish you from your partner. If you switch sides of the bed, simply update this information in the app at Menu > My Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor > Bed & Sleeper Setup > Change Your Side of Bed.
Pets at the foot of the bed should not affect your heart rate or respiratory rate data, but if they get up and move during the night, they could affect your sleep data. At Menu > My Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor > Bed & Sleeper Status > Bed Type & Profile, ensure that you have “Yes” selected for "Do you allow Pets in Your Bed?"
If you or your partner switches sides of the bed, simply update this information in the app from the Menu under My Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor > Bed & Sleeper Setup > Change Your Side of Bed.
If you get a new device, you won’t lose any of your data. Simply download the app on your new device and sign-in to your existing Sleeptracker-AI® account.
No, the Sleeptracker-AI® system does not require you to wear a device. Your sleep is monitored through the sensors mounted to your smart bed.
The Sleeptracker-AI® system will not record data during a power outage. Once power is restored, it will automatically resume recording your sleep data. The Sleeptracker-AI® alarm, however, will still activate via your phone or tablet at the proper time if there is a power outage.
Both Sleeptracker-AI® accounts can be accessed from the same device, however, to prevent having to sign out and back in, it’s best for each sleeper to have the app running on their own phone or tablet. If you choose to use a single phone or tablet for both sleepers, the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app will display the data of whichever user is logged in. To see data associated with another account, simply logout of the current account by going to Menu > My Profile > Account > Sign Out and then login to the other account.
The Sleeptracker-AI® system requires access to an Internet-enabled home Wi-Fi network.
No, the Sleeptracker-AI® system will still monitor your sleep if your phone or tablet is off, but the Sleeptracker-AI® alarm will not work.
No, your device does not need to be in your room to record your sleep, however, you do need your device nearby to hear the alarm.
No, your device does not need to be connected to Wi-Fi overnight, but will need Wi-Fi or a cellular connection to use the Sleep Cycle Alarm.
To restore your data, re-download the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app, launch the app, and then sign in to your existing Sleeptracker-AI® account. All of your data will be present.
Yes, the Sleeptracker-AI® AI Engine (SAIE) can differentiate between when a user is awake in bed and when they are actually entering early stages of sleep. To do so, the SAIE uses machine learning algorithms that take into account the breathing rate, heart rate, and micro motion sensed by the Sleeptracker-AI® system.
If someone else will be using your bed and you wish to turn off the Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor Sensors, select the Status icon at the top right of the home screen, select Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor Sensors, then switch the sensors off. While off, the Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor Sensors will not record, retain, or upload any sensor data. This includes sleep quality, heart rate, breath rate and air quality. The Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor will remain powered on and connected to Wi-Fi so that you can turn the sensors back on from this app later. You will need to turn ON your Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor Sensors to resume normal full functionality.
Setup (For Self-Installed Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® Models)
The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® will guide you through the correct placement of the sensor(s) based on the bed type and size that you have.
Tip: If you have a Full or Queen size bed with two sleepers, for the best signal separation, place the sensors 8 inches in from the side of the bed.
If you have a slatted bed frame, place the sensor(s) on top the slat nearest the center of your pillow. Ensure the sensor foam lies entirely on a slat, not half on and half off.
If your mattress sits on a slatted foundation, metal grid, or mesh, ensure the sensor is positioned on a solid/flat surface so the sensor is pushed evenly into the mattress when you lie down. The sensor needs to make firm, evenly distributed contact with the mattress to function properly.
If the openings in your foundation are larger than the sensor, use a thin piece of plywood or plexiglass that spans the holes to ensure the entire sensor makes contact with the mattress.
Ensure your processor is elevated off the floor. We recommend re-using one of the cable twist ties to hang the processor under your bed. There are environmental sensors in the processor which provide the most accurate readings when the vents on the processor are not blocked.
Yes, the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® works with any bed. On adjustable beds, ensure that there is plenty of slack in the sensor cables so your bed can be adjusted fully without straining the sensor cable. As you lower the head of the bed, ensure your routing does not result in a pinched cable.
Attach the sensors under the bed skirt. The sensors will move around less and this allows you to wash the bed skirt without removing the sensors.
WI-FI Connection
Check to ensure your Wi-Fi router and Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® processor are close enough to each other for a good signal. Walls and devices on the 2.4GHz frequency range can interfere or reduce the signal strength. If the Wi-Fi router cannot be moved closer to the bedroom, a mesh Wi-Fi system may be a suitable option.
The Sleeptracker-AI® system requires a Wi-Fi router running on the 2.4GHz band. If your router is set to use 5GHz only, you will need to modify your router settings to enable the 2.4GHz band. The Monitor supports both WPA and WPA2 security. The WEP security protocol is no longer supported due to its security vulnerabilities. WPA3 is not currently supported.
Yes, in order to transmit your sleep data to your account, your Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® processor will need to be connected to the Internet through your Wi-Fi router.
To adjust the Wi-Fi settings of your Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® processor, go to Menu > My Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor > Troubleshoot > Adjust Wi-Fi Settings, and then follow the on-screen instructions. If you need assistance, email support@sleeptracker.com and include your router’s brand and model.
No, the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® system uses Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth.
There are some combination modem-routers (gateways) which have trouble maintaining a consistent Internet connection. These models affect all Wi-Fi devices, not only the Sleeptracker-AI®. Many of these are cable modem gateways leased or rented by cable companies and there are often alternative cable modem gateways available from your cable company if you request an alternate model.
Using the App
The Sleep Cycle Alarm wakes you during your lightest phase of sleep in a given window of time, allowing you to feel more refreshed throughout the day. For example, if you need to wake up at 7AM and you set a 30-minute Sleep Cycle Alarm window, the alarm will wake you between 6:30AM and 7AM when the system detects you are in a light phase of sleep, or it will wake you no later than 7AM if the system does not detect a light phase of sleep.
From the app’s home screen, select the Menu button, then Set Sleep Cycle Alarm. You can select from built in wake up music or from your own music library.
Compatible Tempur-Pedic® Power Bases support silent alarms using the vibration motors in the bed to wake you up. To enable, select Menu>Sleep Cycle Alarm and scroll down to select Alarm Type: Vibrate Power Base. When turning on Vibrate Power Base, the audible alarm will be disabled. One must choose either Music/Sounds from the mobile device or vibrate power base. When the Vibrate Power Base alarm goes off, it will start with very subtle short vibrations and ramp up to 3 second long vibrations. If at any time during the vibration alarm you wake and wish to turn it off, use the flat button on your in-app remote to turn the vibration alarm off. If you don’t stop the alarm, it will run once, wait 5 minutes, then run a second time. At that point the vibration alarm will stop until the alarm is triggered the next day.
Note: For queen, full and synchronized split king beds, vibration motors for both sides (both sleepers) will go off when the vibration alarm is used. For split king beds which are configured to move independently, only the side of the split king bed configured for the alarm to go off will vibrate unless both sleepers have their vibration alarms enabled.
Snore Response will respond when the Sleeptracker-AI® system detects intense sustained snoring.
Smart Snore Pulse will use vibration pulses when Sleeptracker-AI® detects intense sustained snoring.
From Menu > Snore Response, select if you would like Smart Snore Position or Smart Snore Pulse enabled.
If Smart Snore Position and Smart Snore Pulse are both enabled, Smart Snore Position will raise the head of the bed when intense sustained snoring is detected. After 30 minutes, if intense sustained snoring continues, Smart Snore Pulse will vibrate the bed. Smart Snore Pulse will continue to alert with vibration pulses every 30 minutes if intense sustained snoring continues.
Yes, Sleeptracker-AI® can record naps longer than 20 minutes. Select the Record button on the Home screen > Record My Sleep Now to begin a sleep recording. After you’re done napping, ensure that you return to the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app and tap Done Sleeping, to end the recording.
The AI Sleep Coach provides useful tips and insights to help you incrementally improve your sleep over time. These tips and insights become more personalized and tailored to you as you use the app over time. For example, the app will learn what time you typically go to bed, how fast you fall asleep, and how much sleep you typically get. The AI Sleep Coach can then notify you when you deviate from your routine to help guide you to a more restful night’s sleep.
Launch the app and select "I already have an account". Use the Forgot Password option, then follow the instructions in the email you receive.

The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® detects the micro-motion generated from your heartbeat and respiration cycles with highly-precise sensors placed under your mattress.
Your resting heart rate is how many times per minute your heart beats while you are at rest. Resting heart rate is an indicator of your basic fitness level and a strong predictor of cardiovascular health. A healthy adult range is between 60 and 80 bpm, while athletes can have a resting heart rate as low as 30 bpm.
Everyone’s heart rate is different. There are many factors that can affect it, including stress, fitness level, and diet.
Currently, there is no option to share information with other users. We are working on adding this feature into a Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app update.
The Sleeptracker-AI® system is designed to help you determine how you sleep best. The AI Sleep Coach will give you tips created specifically to help you sleep better and improve your sleep quality metric.
Light and REM sleep are considered to be closer to wakefulness than deep sleep. Deep sleep is characterized by a lack of prominent eye movement, a lack of bodily movement and decreased cerebral blood flow, with associated changes in heart rate and respiration rate. The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® technology differentiates between these sleep phases by monitoring movement, heart rate, and respiration rate.
The Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® analyzes your personal sleep data to develop unique coaching recommendations personalized just for you.
Your sleep efficiency is calculated by measuring how much time you spend asleep vs. the overall time you spend in bed during the sleep recording.
An accurate measurement of heart rate and respiration rate can take anywhere from 30-45 seconds while lying still on the bed.
Yes, sleep information from the Tempur-Pedic® Sleeptracker-AI® app is shared with the Apple Health app if you enable this option during the initial setup flow.
