Troubleshoot Inaccurate or No Sleep Reports | Bed with Two Sensors

More often than not, if you are getting inaccurate sleep reports or not getting any sleep reports, it is due to certain settings incorrectly or not optimally set, and/or due to sensor placement/coverage. The below troubleshooting steps and suggestions have helped customers in the past, so to ensure your Fullpower® Sleep system is monitoring you correctly, please carefully check over the following:

  1. In the Fullpower® Sleep app, select Settings > My Smart BedSetup > Switch Sides > and ensure you are shown on the correct side of the bed. This should be the side that you sleep on according to your viewpoint when you're standing at the foot of the bed and facing the head. If you need to make any changes, tap the side that you sleep on, then press the back arrow to save your changes.

  2. Ensure your information is correct & up-to-date:
    • Select Settings > My Smart BedSetup > Smart Bed Details, and ensure the information on this page is correctly selected.
    • Go to Settings > Sleep Goals & Schedule, and ensure that your bedtime and wake time reflect your actual/usual bed and rise times. Be sure to update this if your schedule changes.
      • If your partner has an account, ask your partner to double-check the above two settings on their own account as well.

  3. Sensor placement is crucial to your sleep analysis, so ensure your sensors are properly positioned underneath your mattress and ensure the sensor plugs are correctly inserted into your processor. Refer to this tutorial for information on how to check the sensors.
    • If you have an adjustable base, route the sensor cables so they do not get pinched by the base moving up and down. Additionally, ensure the sensor plugs have enough slack going to the processor.
    • Unplug and firmly reinsert the sensor plugs into the processor.
    • It is important for the sensors' foam pads to be evenly located on a firm and flat surface. If you have a foundation with narrow slats, mesh, or if your sensors are placed on a surface that depresses easily (as some box-springs do), then we highly recommend adding a thin piece of plywood, plexiglass, or hard cardboard underneath the sensors. Be sure to use the sensors' adhesive backing, so your sensor pads do not easily move around.

Important Tips:

  • A) It's a good idea to check the alignment of your mattress every so often, to ensure the mattress is centered on the foundation, and adjust your mattress if necessary before getting into bed — you mainly are looking to ensure your mattress is fully covering the sensors. This is especially true if you have an adjustable base, and you frequently adjust your base to high angles, or if you have your base raised before going to sleep and lower it back down to flat (or near flat). If your adjustable base came with a mattress retainer bar, we highly recommend using it if you're not already, as it prevents the mattress from sliding off your base.

  • B) For the best sleep monitoring results, limit/remove any vibration or noise near your bed. The sensors are very sensitive and can filter out most vibrations/noise, but certain vibrations are too powerful and would interfere with the sensors.
