Where to Find the In-App Remote

After setting up your Sleeptracker-AI® Monitor, open the Sleeptracker-AI® app and select the Remote tab. 

How Does the In-App Remote Work?

The in-app remote allows you to control your TEMPUR-Ergo® smart base directly from your phone using the Sleeptracker-AI® app. 

It connects over Wi-Fi to send commands to your bed, such as adjusting the head and foot positions, activating massage features, or turning on underbed lighting.

How to Use the In-App Remote

Remote Buttons

Four buttons may be reprogrammed to custom positions: Zero G, TV in Bed, Anti-Snore and Favorite. 
To reprogram one of these four buttons, adjust the bed to your desired position, then hold down the button on the in-app remote until your mobile device vibrates.

Troubleshooting the In-App Remote

The in-app remote allows you to control your adjustable base directly from the Sleeptracker-AI® mobile app. For the in-app remote to work properly, your Monitor needs to be connected to the internet and paired to your account, and the cable connections under the adjustable base have to be correctly plugged in. If your in-app remote is not responding or behaving unexpectedly, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  • Note: if your physical remote is also not working properly, this may indicate an issue with the Control Box component or your base's power supply, rather than an issue with the Sleeptracker-AI® system. In this case, please contact Tempur's power base support team for assistance. 

 

In-App Remote Troubleshooting Steps:

Step 1: Check Wireless Connectivity

Make sure your device is properly connected:

  1. Open the Sleeptracker-AI app
  2. From the Home tab, select the icon in the top right corner
  3. Select Status
  4. Verify you have a green checkmark in the top section, indicating that the bed has a good Wi-Fi connection to the Cloud.
    • If the Smart Bed is disconnected from Wi-Fi, review the Wi-Fi Assistance article.

Step 2: Ensure Base is Properly Wired

Checking for errors with the "Verify" process in the app can reveal if any of the cable connections under the base are improperly wired. 

To Verify a Split-King base:

  • In the Sleeptracker-AI app, go to Menu > My Monitor > Bed & Sleeper Setup > Bed Size & Configuration > Change Base Configuration (underneath "Type") > Power Base > Next > enter your base's serial number (from any physical remote, if blank) > Verify > ensure Split King is selected > Next > choose how you want your base to move > Next. If successful, you won't encounter an error during base verification.

To Verify a single base: 

  • In the Sleeptracker-AI app, select the Status icon (top right from Home) > Bed & Sleeper Setup > Bed Size & Configuration > Change Base Configuration (underneath "Type") > Power Base > Next > enter your base's serial number (from any physical remote, if blank) > Verify > Next. If successful, you won't encounter an error during base verification.

If you encounter any base verification errors, tap Troubleshoot Configuration > View Setup Guide, and check to see if your bed's components are plugged in properly. 


Step 3: Power-Cycle the Bed

Power-cycling (rebooting) the adjustable base can resolve connection issues:

  1. Unplug the bed from the power outlet.
  2. Wait 3 minutes.
  3. Plug it back in.
  4. Allow a few minutes for automatic reconnection. 

If you have a Split-King base, please power-cycle both sides of the bed at the same time. 


Step 4: Reset the Control Box

Reset your base's Control Box to its factory settings. You can do so by pressing the Flat and Zero-G buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds on the physical remote. The remote's backlight will flash twice to indicate that the original pre-set positions have been restored. 

If you have a Split-King base, repeat this step with the physical remote for the other side of the bed. 

Once complete, reopen the app and test the in-app remote.
